Well, Mother Nature isn't playing along... a huge storm has settled itself over New England and the forecast calls for a chance of rain near 100 percent with wind gusts up to 30 mph. No fun for hiking! Sadly, the hiking trip has been postponed, but I'm still going to the homeland. My mom and I might just go out to Oswego to see my brother, David!

Don't know why there's no sun up in the sky...
I'm not sure if it's a hurricane, a nor'easter, or just a big fat storm, but it's really getting me down. The plan was for a trip to the homeland this weekend so I could climb another mountain in the Adirondacks. I was so inspired by my Dad completing his 46 peaks, that I wanted to try for mine. We climbed Haystack Mountain over Labor Day weekend and had such a great time that I was excited to do more!
