License to Wed

With just over a week to go before Spike and I tie the knot, many wedding related tasks are filling up our schedule. Last week we went to apply for our marriage license and had to undergo some very strict questioning. We had to swear we weren't related, which we did, but I'm not sure they believed us as we were sent home with a form outlining the following notice of legal impediments to marriage:

No man shall marry his mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, stepmother, grandfather's wife, grandson's wife, wife's mother, wife's grandmother, wife's daughter, wife's granddaughter, brother's daughter, sister's daughter, father's sister or mother's sister.

No woman shall marry her father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, stepfather, grandmother's husband, daughter's husband, granddaughter's husband, husband's grandfather, husband's son, husband's grandson, brother's son, sister's son, father's brother or mother's brother.

Are you confused? I was! I mean, I'm sure we're not related, but those are both very confusing lists! Anyway, we must have passed the test because I picked up the license yesterday and no one tackled me on my way out the door. Here are some pictures of the momentous occasion:
