Pickles are magical

My mother came to visit last weekend and we went to the most magical place on earth... the Bleacher Bar at Fenway. The area that was open to the field was definitely cool, but the real attraction was the fried pickles. Oh yes... fried pickles. They were totally and completely divine with their crisp, fried texture and their salty goodness. I think I could eat them forever and at every meal until the end of time. It took awhile for me to recover from the wonder of the pickles and by the time I had come to my senses, my mom had decided we were going to go see Legally Blonde at the Opera House. We got obstructed view seats, which really were only obstructed by the giant, big-head man in front of me, and enjoyed the show thoroughly. We also saw two movies during the weekend and played a rousing game of contract rummy, which I totally won.

Sadly, I think those fried pickles are the only pickles I've had this week. Lynn and I have been super busy at work preparing for the MIT Energy Initiative Conference we are working at today. We even had to work on Veterans' Day! Anyway, the event is now drawing to a close, but it really sucked the life out of me. I managed to make one awesome meal this week... eggplant pie. I loved it, but I may have loved it more if it had pickles in it. Oh well, there's always next time!
