It's Wednesday already!

Hooray it's Wednesday... not Tuesday, which is usually the second day of the work week. Thank goodness for Columbus Day! I needed that three day weekend. Three day weekends make everything better because not only is the weekend longer, the week is shorter! I know that's an obvious statement to some, but it makes me extra grateful!

On Friday, Spike and I were going to go right home after work, but I had to go to Boston for an appointment and some shopping and Spike found a parking spot right outside the Muddy, so he HAD to go in. And of course, I HAD to walk all the way back from Boston to meet him. We had a good time, but it was an early night. Saturday was a gorgeous fall day in which I taught Jess to grocery shop. I mostly made her do what I always do so I hope it works out! They were sampling beer at the Whole Foods in Cambridge! Beer! So that automatically made grocery shopping much better... Sunday included a trip to IKEA with a reluctant Spike. We got there right when it opened and were out in an hour, but shopping is really not Spike's thing. I enjoyed the free breakfast and I think he enjoyed my bacon, but you really couldn't tell. We bought an ottoman and a rug and I planted bulbs in the afternoon... it was another gorgeous fall day! Monday was grocery shopping and relaxing and Lynn's birthday party! The Red Sox game was on at 4:30 and so I made dinner and we watched the game. Poor Lynn always has to share her birthday with the Sox! I guess it's good that they're playing in October, but I'd feel better if they were playing better.... oh well.

Now it's Wednesday afternoon, which means the week is almost over (at least to me)! Thank you, Christopher Columbus!
