August Adventures

August really flew by (this is the first time in five years of writing this thing that I've ever missed an entire month)!  I guess time really does fly when you're having fun because I had a great month full of vacation, family, swimming, and more hiking.  Highlights include...

Beach time with this gorgeous beach baby,

a trip to Saratoga Race Track, where hats and chowder were prevalent but winning was not,

fun family time,

beautiful Lake Champlain sunsets,

goofy birthday celebrations,

 

lots more family time,

 

an amazing hike with my very brave sister,

rafting chasms with my adventurous sister (same one... she's adventurous AND brave!),

kayaking on Lake Q with my wonderful mother,

 a beautiful hike on a perfect day,

and a slippery hike on a not-so-perfect day.

It was a great August and a great summer, but now that it's September I'm ready for fall!  Bring on the apple cider donuts!
