10 years

It's been 10 years since Lynn and I moved to Boston.  Double digits.  An entire decade.  It doesn't seem like it though.  I don't feel much different than the 22-year-old who didn't know what else to do after graduating.  If not for Lynn I probably would still be in the Homeland tipping cows.  She claims it was my idea to move here.  I say it was hers.  I'm just glad it was someone's.

It's funny to think of all we've seen, done, and been through in 10 years.  Weddings, houses, jobs, a gorgeous baby.  It's funny because of how we're still the same, but different too.  She's still the girl I knew from college... the solid-as-a-rock friend who I can count on for anything, the one who makes me laugh hard, and snort louder.  We don't dance, drink, play cards, or watch our favorite shows as much as we used to, but 10 years hasn't changed the fact that I love her and would be lost without her!

To celebrate our 10-year anniversary we visited all the old bars we used to frequent when we first moved to Boston.  We even went by our first two apartments in Kenmore Square.  It was a great night... full of reminiscing, story-telling, laughing, and of course, picture-taking.  We look just like those fresh-faced 22-year-olds from 10 years ago, right?
