After celebrating my sister's birthday this past weekend, I realized I never covered my birthday, which was one of the best ever! Spike and I started the tradition of going on a birthday hike last year and decided to travel to New Hampshire this year. Spike's knees aren't the best for going up and down large mountains, so we stuck to some shorter loop hikes. The day was gorgeous for it and we got to enjoy some magnificent scenery!
The first hike was through Adams Point Wildlife Management Area, which featured beautiful views of Great Bay and also offered fun trees to climb on.
The second hike was through Bellamy River Wildlife Sanctuary, which though not as fun as the first, was still very pretty. We rushed through because we were both starving and knew what lay in our future.
The fried clams at Newick's cannot be rivaled and once Spike and I found out that you can eat for free on your birthday, we decided to start another birthday tradition. We headed home after stuffing our faces, but the birthday celebration was not over.
I was treated to a visit from Lynn and Meghan, as well as to a Snickers Ice Cream cake. What a way to end a wonderful birthday!
