Newport in March

After the Great Blizzard of '13, it snowed almost every weekend in February.  My cabin fever was growing and my frustration with winter was mounting, so it was a welcome relief to take a weekend trip to Newport, Rhode Island with Lynn and Sarno during the first weekend in March.  We had a grand old time...
viewing mansions,

walking cliffs (carefully),

drinking beer,

"catching some rays,"

 enjoying baby Guinnessi,

sipping Prosecco and chowing on popcorn,

and visiting the Tennis Hall of Fame!

It was so nice to be out and about with the ladies in the snow-free city of Newport.  Although the weather was chilly, we enjoyed walking up and down the streets, checking out shops and bars along the way.  Instead of being the wild and crazy girls we used to be in college, we ended up back at our hotel relatively early, playing cards in front of the fireplace.

The weekend was a great way to get over my self-diagnosed "seasonal affective disorder" because when I get the chance to hang out with these ladies, it doesn't matter what the weather is... they always bring the sunshine!
